Fissure Sealants

Fissure sealants are a protective layer that is applied to the teeth like a paint coating. The sealant prevents food and bacteria from getting stuck in the tiny grooves in the teeth, which is one of the main causes of decay. The application of fissure sealants is advisable for children with a high risk of decay or a family history of cavities and decay. Your dentist will advise you if this could be of benefit to your child, and the treatment can be carried out by our hygienists.
